Contouring allows a more balanced, normally higher gum margin around the teeth which reveals more of the tooth's surface, appearing larger and better proportioned. Dark, pigmented gums due to various reasons such as smoking, medicines or simply genetics can be evened out and lightened in as little as one session. Either of these procedures require follow up and possible secondary sessions to achieve the best final results.
